About Us

Welcome to the Department of Affective and Psychotic Disorders, the Chair of Psychiatry, Medical University of Lodz. The University Department of Affective and Psychotic Disorders is based in the Central Clinical Hospital at Czechoslowacka Street 8/10. It carries out research into four areas: schizophrenia, affective disorders, psychopharamacotherapy and neuropsychology. The clinical activities of the Department are relevant to its research mission and the clinical requirements of Psychiatry based on Evidence Based Medicine. An important component of our work is teaching psychiatry to medical students. The Department of Affective and Psychotic Disorders also provides post-graduate education in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology. Its staff comprises nine people.
